Everybody has a past, and every past got a future. Cosmic vibes from the '70s and '90s will live forever.
This retrofuturistic track captures the melancholic farewell to the 20th century, expressing the sense of time passing, the fragility of humankind in the universe immensity but also faith in a fair and beautiful future starting with the new millennium.
I recorded the first version in 1996 with a second-hand Roland U100 and a shared Fostex 4-track tape recorder. By that time I was heavily influenced by Arthur C.Clarke and Isaac Asimov, on one hand, and by Mike Oldfield and Kraftwerk on the other.
This nostalgic remake preserves the original purity that still resonates with me giving me the same goosebumps.
