Shipwreck
04:25
|
|
||
A light on the distant cliff appears.
Unveiling all the winds
to see their fate
Her wicked head,
with its wild grey hair,
Sands of the river.
the boat sailed out all through the night
and their flag up, high seemed bright.
The sailors
at risk
in a stormy rain
They lost their lives,
the rising tide,
now the sound….. howls
their mourning toll
One heart, two girls
One song, to dance

Thorns
03:08
|
|
||
A glimpse outside
winter comes,
silence freezes the air
At dawn, dreams abate
Away in the fields
Don’t try to hide
Conceal yourself from me
Don’t try to hide
The reason you deceived
No fear to be taken
No fright to be drowned
Because time swirls
The ties that bondage
thorns and hope
No time to be around
no time to be unfold
No time to listen to
No time will
Vanish the flame for you
All our past is burnt in haze
All the bliss I bereave
The thrill was then cut so young
the spark of your glance is gone
I strive to reach you again
Will you steal me away
Yearn anew, my love
as used to be …

The Mill
04:01
|
|

The miller's wife had waited long
The tea was cold, the fire was dead
And there might yet be nothing wrong
In how he went and what he said:
"There are no millers any more"
Was all that she had heard him say
And he had lingered at the door
So long it seemed like yesterday.
Sick with a fear that had no form
She knew that she was there at last
And in the mill, there was a warm
She knew that she was there at last
a mealy fragrance of the past.
What else there was would only seem
To say again what he had meant
And what was hanging from a beam
Would not have heeded where she went.
And if she thought it follow her,
She may have reasoned in the dark
That one way of the few there were
Would hide her and would leave no mark:
Black water, smooth above the weir
Like starry velvet in the night,
Though ruffled once, would soon appear
The same as ever to the sight.

The Moated Grange
02:39
|
|
||
With blackest moss the flower-plots
Were thickly crusted, one and all:
The rusted nails fell from the knots
That held the pear to the gable wall.
The broken sheds look'd sad and strange:
Unlifted was the clinking latch;
Weeded and worn the ancient thatch
Upon the lonely moated grange.
When the night was falling
and the sun was down
then all the spirits walking
all around
"My life is dreary,
There was no one else
who will dare to be
awake to tell
what I was to see
Upon the midnight
Her tears fell with the dews at even;
Her tears fell ere the dews were dried;
She could not look on the sweet heaven,
Either at morn or eventide.
After the flitting of the bats,
When thickest dark did trance the sky,
She drew her casement-curtain by,
And glanced athwart the glooming flats.
She only said, "The night is dreary,
He cometh not," she said;
She said, "I am aweary, aweary,
I would that I were dead!"
upon the midnight
Upon the middle of the night,
Waking she heard the night fowl crow:
The cock sung out an hour ere light:
From the dark fen the oxen's low
Came to her: without hope of change,
In sleep, she seemed to walk forlorn,
Till cold winds woke the gray-eyed morn
About the lonely moated grange.
She said, "I am aweary,

Lenore (The Raven)
03:34
|
|
||
By that Heaven that bends above us- by that God we both adore-
Tell this soul with sorrow laden if, within the distant Aidenn,
It shall clasp!
It shall clasp a sainted maiden whom the angels name Lenore.
Lenore... Lenore...
Clasp a rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore.
Lenore ... Lenore
Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."
Leave no...
black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken!
Leave my loneliness unbroken!-
quit the bust..
above my door!
Take thy beak
On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
This eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming,
It shall clasp!
It shall clasp a sainted maiden whom the angels name Lenore.
Lenore... Lenore...
Clasp a rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore.
Lenore ... Lenore
Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."
Clasp a rare and radiant maiden ..,
By that Heaven that bends above us- by that God we both adore-
Tell this soul with sorrow laden if, within the distant Aidenn
